New Year’s Eve Wedding at Shenandoah Mill
Mike and Lisa met at a Starbucks. They started talking about soccer and quickly learned they were around the same soccer life/people. Being that they both have three kids of their own who all played soccer, it was crazy to learn their paths never crossed before. After dating for a while, Mike finally proposed on Christmas in front of all their kids. Since this is their second marriage, I really loved the fact that they tied in the New Year with new beginnings and a new life together.
Their wedding was held at Shenandoah Mill, in Gilbert Arizona – on New Year’s Eve. The weather was perfect! We were a little nervous it was supposed to rain, but thankfully the rain came a day early, and they had beautiful Arizona weather! Their ceremony was held outside on the lawn, with cocktail hour to follow up on the patio. Lisa had Born N Bread create these supper yummy hors d’oeuvre. Each table in the reception had a New Year’s Resolution on it along with a napkin that was tied with a clock and a poem that said “Time has a wonderful way to show us what really matters.” Each clock was also different, which was really neat to photograph. Their cake was topped with sparklers, which was fun to shoot and the guests lined up to see lit!
