The Grand Highland Hotel Wedding
Maddi and Jeremy met through a mutual friend. Once they started dating Maddi said she knew about three months in that she was going to marry Jeremy. He on the other hand knew shortly before her! During a trip to Prescott on their fourth anniversary, Jeremy proposed to Maddi next to the lake. What made it even more special was that both of their families were there to celebrate! Since Prescott holds such a special spot in their lives, it only makes sense that they would get married at The Grand Highland Hotel. It’s not your typical hotel. You won’t find hundreds of rooms, instead, you’ll find twelve historically themed hotel rooms. Located in the heart of Whiskey Row in downtown Prescott, AZ.
We started the day off with photographing details and then quickly moved into getting ready. Maddi shared a first look with her dad and that had us all tearing up. She gave him a sweet handkerchief that said, ” You are the first man I ever loved. When you give me away today, know I will always be your little girl.” Then she shared a first look with her bridesmaids! These have become really popular over the past couple of years and the reactions of the girls are always so much fun to capture!
When it was time for the ceremony Jeremy said watching Maddi walk down the aisle was his favorite part of the day. Maddi’s favorite part was their first dance. Her family did something really sweet for Jeremy when it came to do the special dances (father/daughter, mother/son). Since Jeremy lost his mom a few years ago, they played a special slide show for him and called all the women who were really important in his life up to the dance floor. Each woman got time to dance with him and it’s safe to say, there wasn’t a dry eye to be found. I truly love all the unique ways families celebrate loved ones together. It just makes the wedding day that much more intimate.
