The Story of Us Part 2
I love stories! Everyone has one. The more details the better! One of my favorite things to ask my newly engaged couples is how they met. They’re always excited to share the details. And I can’t get enough! But, at the end, my couples always ask, “What about you?” So, I decided to share our story, too. From the party to the babies here’s our story!
Hook, Line and Sink-Her
He had no idea I claimed him as mine, and in fact, I actually surprised myself. You see, I’ve always been shy. But this time it was different. I walked through the sliding glass doors, took a deep breath and smiled. I knew a few people outside so I sat down and jumped in the conversation.
And then it happened. He talked to me. I may have turned bright red, but I didn’t care. I sat there with my drink and I watched him laugh and joke with some of our mutual friends. As the night progressed so did our conversation. We may have had too much to drink, but we were having a great time. We talked about going in hot air balloons and traveling around the world. He had me. Hook line and sink-her 😉
I believed every word that came out of his mouth. Little did I know he was afraid of heights! But that’s another story for another time. As the night came to an end, Tai came to pick me up. I blabbed on and on about how cute he was and how much we had in common. Then she slammed on her brakes, opened my door and I rolled out into the driveway. As she yelled at me to pick myself up and get in the house, I just smiled because I just met the man I knew I was going to marry.
It was the start to our beginning and little did I know what would happen over the next few months…
