An El Chorro Wedding
Happy Friday, Friends! Shooting a wedding at El Chorro has always been a dream of mine. Most of my favorite wedding photographers have shot weddings there, and I always thought it would be so neat to shoot one of my own brides there. And then enters Kayla. The sweetest, down-to-earth bride. Many of you will remember her and Matt from their engagement session in Cave Creek.
Growing up in Pennsylvania, Kayla and Matt met through a mutual friend on Facebook. It’s safe to say they hit it off and have been together ever since! They moved to Arizona, where Matt would practice density and Kayla would continue school to become a physician’s assistant.
After proposing to Kayla on Camelback Mountain, they started planning their wedding. With Camelback Mountain in the background, Kayla knew El Chorro was the perfect place to have her wedding.
The wedding day started off with getting ready at a private residence in Scottsdale, Arizona. Once everyone was finished with hair and makeup we headed over to El Chorro. After getting into her dress, Kayla and Matt shared a first look! Let me tell you, friends, with Andrea Leslie Wedding and Event’s coordinating, the day went so smoothly! With fresh mint and blush florals from Sorella, a custom alter from Glamour and Woods, beautiful bouquets, and tablescapes – I’m telling you, friends, this wedding was a dream!
With a first look done, the bridal party was up next. These guys were so much fun! Since Kayla and Matt chose a first look, we were able to get family formals done before the ceremony and they were able to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests. They shared their first dance under the twinkle lights on the patio and the rest of the reception was held inside. They also shared a first dance with their parents, which I thought was really neat! The night was filled with tons of dancing, laughter, and a lot of love. Thank you to the creative team for making this wedding so beautiful!
