Verrado Golf Club Wedding
Brynn and Randy had a beautiful wedding! The ceremony was held at The Vic and their reception was held at Verrado Golf Club. But before we get into the wedding day, let me first share how they got engaged! Randy had come to Huntington Gardens (one of Brynn’s favorite places) a week prior to scope out the location. He knew Brynn would love the pond because of the ducks, and the cactus garden was only a few steps away, which would make a great spot for photos. He had hired a photographer, to shoot the proposal and then some pictures immediately after.
Brynn had no idea Randy was going to propose. He took her out for a “Treat Yourself Day” after she had just finished a week of vet school exams. They started the day out at a nail salon and then headed to the gardens. Randy told her to check out the ducks in the pond and when she turned back around, he was down on one knee! They ended their “Treat Yourself Day” with some swing dancing and dinner where friends and family met them to celebrate!
Now onto their wedding!! The day started off overcast with a cool breeze. Brynn and her bridesmaids were getting ready at The Vic. With music playing in the background the girls were laughing and talking while they got their makeup and hair done. Randy and his groomsmen got ready at Verrado’s Golf Club and eventually made their way up to the Vic for pictures. Let’s just say, the groomsmen had a lot of fun with Randy for their groomsmen pictures!
Brynn and Randy decided not to do a first look, but instead do a first touch. This is where the couple is able to talk to each other and “touch” but still not see each other before the ceremony. Brynn however, did a first look with her dad, and I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye around! Brody, their dog was their ring bearer! He was the goodest boy!! While we were doing pictures with the wedding party, Brynn’s dad, had a special bourbon tasting for some of their closest friends/family. They were definitely a fun crowd! As the ceremony began, it was really sweet watching Randy wait at the altar for Brynn to walk down the aisle. After getting a little choked up, Brynn finally made it to Randy and her stepbrother officiated the wedding.
The sun decided to peak out during the ceremony and once it concluded, they shared a kiss in the middle of the aisle! They had a special request to have all their guests in one large picture after the ceremony. Normally, rounding up guests can be a little chaotic, but this bunch was a delight! We quickly got that picture taken and then onto the wedding party and bride and groom portraits before everyone had to jump on the transportation bus and head down the hill to cocktail hour and the reception at Verrado Golf Club.
Once we arrived at Verrado, we were able to get a few more just married sunset portraits before heading into the reception. Photographing them on top of the bridge is always a favorite spot! As they headed into the reception, the guests were able to enjoy a special dinner with multiple courses. Toasts included the best man, maid of honor, and a few of Brynn’s Funkles! You can learn a lot about a couple just from listening to the toasts. Since Brynn will be specializing in equine veterinary medicine, one of her Funkles personalized his toast towards horse racing. Randy’s horse was “Yes Dear” and Brynn’s was “Honey Do”. As the horses raced around the track, one would pull in front of the other, but ultimately in the end it was a tie between the two horses. That had to be one of the best speeches that we’ve heard in the 200+ weddings we’ve done! It perfectly emulated how a relationship works. And it was funny 🙂 When it came time for special dances, Brynn’s dad put together a special slideshow just for her. Once the DJ opened the dancefloor it was full all night! The guests really had a great time mingling and dancing beneath the bistro lights! Brynn and Randy, thank you for allowing us to be such a special part of your wedding day! We’ve both really enjoyed getting to know you two and your sweet family and friends. We were blown away by the love and friendship your family and friends gave us! We can’t wait to watch you two grow over the years!
Enjoy a few of my favorites from their day! xo
