Husband Kissing Wife, Burgundy, Green, Pink Bouquet, Wedding Rings

My favorite part of weddings is always the details.  The flowers, specifically – which is how I know Miah!  She is Jacquie’s daughter, who owns TWW (Thee Wedding Warehouse, Home of EnDearing Flowers) with my other favorite person Kathy – who I love working with as well.   Kathy plans the weddings, Jacquie provides the flowers, and together they make magic!  Especially for this wedding in Litchfield Park!   So to be able to be a part of this wedding was really special to me.

When I asked Miah, how she met Zach this is what she said: “We met at Tailgaters in Goodyear (although he’d tell you he bought me on Facebook marketplace — best purchase yet!). I knew the moment I laid eyes on him that he was going to be my husband, so when I found out he was going to propose, I did what any logical bride would do and started planning IMMEDIATELY before I even had the ring on my hand.”  Which made me crack up because she TOTALLY did just that! 🙂

I also asked her how the planning process was and she had this to say, “I have been part of planning HUNDREDS of weddings, but when it’s your own it is SO different. You really make this thing your baby for a year and every tiny detail gets thought, so it was extremely stressful for both Zach and I because I had no chill. What I can say is, that all of the madness that happened while planning was so worth it because our day was BEYOND perfect. We had so many special people around us that made sure everything went on without a hitch, it took a village and our wedding weekend showed us that we have the best one.”

I always love including a piece of advice to future brides.  This is what she had to say, “Fight for what you want, it’s YOUR day. Everyone will have an opinion on what you’re doing no matter what it is, so make you and your fiancé happy first! Also— despite all that planning and all those little details, when it comes down to it, the only thing you’re going to notice on the day is the person you’re marrying, so take some time to breathe and know that it’s all going to be perfect even if it all goes to shit.”  Which is super true!

There were a few special things I loved about this wedding.  First – the flowers, because they’re amazing.  Second, the first looks.  I LOVE first looks.  If you’re a nontraditional couple – first looks are so BENEFICIAL!  Not only did she do a first look with Zach, but she also did one with both of her dads.  Thirdly, after her first look with Zach, they shared a private moment where they read each other their own personal vows.   Then during the ceremony, they just repeated the traditional vows in front of all their guests.

Miah and Zach, thanks for allowing us to be such a special part of your day!  We love you guys and can’t wait to watch you two grow!  Enjoy a few favorites from their day!
