Here Are 10 Reasons Why I Love You!

Dear Mike,

It’s your birthday!  Yay!! 🎉  Which means we’ve been together for 10 of your birthdays.  Now that is an accomplishment!  😉  So, in honor of those 10 birthdays, I thought I’d give 10 of the reasons why I love you.  Are you ready?

1. I love how you can drive for 6 hours straight without a complaint in the world.  With kids in the back seat, iPads blaring and me in the front cranking up the radio to sing along to Alabama.  It never seems to phase you.
2. I love how you stop at a convenient store, ask if I want anything and when I say no, you still bring me an alkaline bottle of water.
3. I love how you always worry about me.  From major surgeries to headaches, you’re always there making sure I “get some rest” so I can feel better.
4. I love how you make baths.  The bubbles aren’t the same when I do it.  And who can resist that fireplace app?!
5. I love how you always put the kids needs before your own.
6. I hate how you slick the girls hair back like their boys, but I love that you give them showers and brush their hair.  I never hear them whine or complain that you’re hurting their head like when I do it!
7. I love how you sing along to Dusty Springfield’s Son of A Preacher Man.  And Social D.  And you let me play Dirty Heads on repeat and pretend it doesn’t annoy you!
8. I love spending time with you.  On the couch or playing Skipbo.  Eating Pub Mix and drinking cocktails, that you clearly make better than me.
9. I love how you’re up for any suggestion I make, but you can see any red flag miles before I can.
10. I love how hardworking you are.  You always make sure you provide for our family, even if that means your cars get put on hold.

Those are just a few reasons why I love you.  I feel so blessed to be able to call you mine.  I know your day will be filled with lots of laughs and love.  I can’t wait to spend the day with you.  <3
