A Brophy Chapel Wedding
Laura and Zach met while attending their church’s youth group program in high school and quickly became good friends. They began hanging out with a mutual group of friends both at church and outside of church. They discovered they literally lived around the corner from each other and had attended Brophy College Prepatory and Xavier College Prepatory (which are conjoining high schools) for a whole year but never met!
Zach’s first memory of Laura is definitely a “cute” moment! The two were at a restaurant with a group of friends and Laura accidentally spilled her drink all over herself. Apparently he thought her clumsiness was adorable because they exchanged phone numbers later that evening and the rest is history!
They had their beautiful daughter Bella at a young age and sometimes life was just plain hard. They knew that God had many plans for them in that challenge. After 7 years together, Laura going through culinary school, Zach finishing the police academy, raising a baby and every happy moment and challenge in between, they finally eloped to Las Vegas in April 2015.
With a second daughter soon added to their family, Zach and Laura were so excited to begin planning their church ceremony and wedding reception. Getting married at Brophy Chapel was extremely special as it was the same place Zach’s parent’s got married at. The wedding took place on their second year anniversary of the day they eloped. What was really neat was watching Zach give Laura a brand new wedding band during the church ceremony. She had gotten him custom made cufflinks that signified his law enforcement position. Through all of life’s joys and struggles, Zach and Laura have grown a young teenage love, into a 10 year long love for the ages.
