Laguna Beach Wedding
The marine layer quickly burned off as the clock reached 11:00 am. The smell of the ocean and the sounds of the seagulls chirping could only mean one thing. We arrived at Laguna Beach. The water was crystal clear and the sun never felt so good. It was time for one of my best friends to get married.
I’ve known Bree for well over 10 years now. We became friends at American Express. We shared the mutual job of Open – The Small Business Network, Customer Service Representatives and no matter where I was on the floor I could always hear her! She had a way with customers and could always make them happy. We’d chat in the elevator and eventually shared a cube wall. We quickly plastered pictures all over our cubes of our boyfriends, our friends, and eventually each other.
After many years of friendship and multiple trips for Mexican food, she moved away. Our friendship is special. I think 🙂 Every time we see each other, it’s like we pick up where we left off. As I was scrolling through Facebook a few months ago I noticed she had a new beau. Immediately I text her. “Who is he? Where did you meet? Are you sure you love him? How long has he been around? What does he do?” But most importantly, “Does he make you happy?”
After she explained that they met at a mutual job and had been friends for a few years, the mom in me calmed down. “Yes Gine, he makes me very happy.” She reassured me. Ok. Good. He seems like a nice guy. From what I can see on Facebook! 😉 Then a few weeks ago he proposed. In like, the cutest way EVER. You can read more about their proposal here.
Then it happened. She asked me to come to their wedding. That was in like 2 months! They chose to elope to Laguna Beach and get married in a gazebo overlooking the ocean. Their closest family and friends were there to support them on their new journey. Jonathan was by far the MOST excited groom I have ever seen! And Bree, you’re my favorite boho bride! I’m so excited for the journey that lies ahead. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day, and for always being one of my favorite friends, love you Gine! <3
