A Rainy Kiva Club Wedding

They say rain on your wedding day is actually considered good luck, according to Hindu tradition.  So Jenah and Scott are going to have a lot of good luck as it rained the entire day of their wedding!  Even as the clouds rolled in at the Kiva Club in Trilogy at Vistancia, you couldn’t keep the smile off Jenah’s face!  She was so excited to be getting married!

In a room filled with donuts and music, Jenah was surrounded by her closest girlfriends.   They opened gifts and clinked drinks.  In matching robes they posed for a quick picture before getting into their dresses. As Jenah got ready to slip into her first dress (yes, there were two!) the girls at Vidogi Salon pinned in the amazing floral crown made by Sunni at Tansy Floral Design.  Now this flower crown was AMAZING!!  It had cactus in it!!  And so did her bouquet!   The entire wedding was themed after the desert.  After having most of their guests come from out of state,  Jenah and Scott wanted to show their family and friends what the desert is really like!

Knowing that they’d get 60% more portraits with a first look, Jenah and Scott made the decision to see each other before the wedding.  Even as it drizzled we were able to create amazing portraits!  We quickly added in the wedding party and by doing this they were able to go straight to cocktail hour right after the wedding!

The ceremony was originally supposed to take place outside.  Due to the rain, Sylvanna and her team were able to transform the ballroom into a nice dry place for guests.  Scott happily walked down the isle and as soon as he saw Jenah his face lit up!  After reading each other their handwritten vows, they sealed their marriage with a kiss.

The rain let up for just a few minutes after the ceremony.  We were able to sneak in some “just married” portraits before Jenah and Scott joined their guests at cocktail hour.  With the help from Thee Wedding Warehouse Jenah and Scott had everything they needed and the ballroom was quickly prepped and set for their grand entrance.   The reception was filled with fun dancing, an amazing desert table, a nacho bar and tons of cactus!   Manny from Push Play Entertainment kept the dance floor filled all night!  Jenah and Scott – thank you so much for allowing us to be a special part of your big day! We can’t wait to watch you to grow!   Enjoy a few of my favorites from their day! xo
