A Secret Garden Wedding
It’s now officially the middle of October and wedding season is in full swing! If you read our blog you’ll remember Courtney and Danielle’s engagement session just two days before their wedding! If you didn’t get a chance to read their engagement session blog you can read that here!
After being together for several years they both wanted to get married. Both girls thought up their own proposal! Courtney proposed first. She surprised Danielle one day after work. Danielle came home to pictures from their entire relationship lining the walls. The funny thing was that that was actually going to be part of her proposal too!! With candles lining the walkway and roses sprinkled all around Danielle said it was straight out of a movie!! And of course she said yes! 🙂
Now it was Danielle’s turn. She built a blanket fort in their house and spruced it up with a bunch of twinkle lights! She had created an illustrated book (think Love Books) of their entire relationship. Courtney loved it and said yes, too!
Courtney and Danielle wanted to a rustic-modern theme for their wedding. With candles and lanterns lining the isle we knew there was going to a romantic feel to it! The florals were beautiful burgundy with lots of greenery and fun little accents! They also incorporated some of their favorite thing – a beer ceremony, custom-made wooden coasters to share the love for drinking, lawn games, and a nacho bar!!
I asked them what their favorite part of being together was and they both said, “It makes us so happy to know that 10, 15, 20 years from now we will still be laughing, enjoying life, traveling together and building a family.” Enjoy a few of my favorites from their Secret Garden Wedding day! xo
