Windmill Winery Engagement Session

Alexis and Zach met through a mutual friend during Country Thunder Music Festival in April of 2015.  They spent four days together, listening to country music, sharing laughs, and spending time getting to know one another.  After Country Thunder they stayed in touch.  While they were both going to different colleges in different parts of the state, they managed to stay up late talking and texting.  It was that November that they finally became a couple.  

In January of 2017, while they were visiting Disneyland they got engaged!  Zach led Alexis to believe they were taking pictures for a Christmas card out in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.  But then he got down on one knee and proposed!  His mom bought them Mickey Mouse hats and had them embroidered with, “Will You Marry Me?” and “Yes!”

Alexis says her favorite part about being engaged is spending quality time with Zach and getting to grow with him.  She says “It’s fun being able to look at our past and see how God led us to one another at the perfect time.”

For their engagement session, they chose to have it at Windmill Winery.  They brought along their two sweet dogs, Remi and Barkley.  Both boys were so good! They also brought along Zach’s late Grandpa’s hat to pay tribute to him.   There wouldn’t have been a better place to photograph Alexis and Zach.  The gardens were in full bloom and the winery had the best dreamy sun light!  They are having a very rustic but simple and elegant wedding at Windmill Winery in January and we are so excited to be a part of it!
