A Different Pointe of View Wedding
Angelic and Robert met at a restaurant one night in 2016. They both were previously married and had different thoughts on getting married again. Robert had come to the restaurant with a buddy that night. His friend introduced himself to Angelic and her friend and offered to buy them a drink. After agreeing, Robert walked over and they talked the rest of the night.
Robert asked to take Angelic out sometime, but she kindly declined because he was too old for her! They both laughed and exchanged e-mails because she wasn’t going to give out her number so easily. After staying in contact for business, their friendship evolved into something more. After dating for 10 months, Robert proposed to Angelic and she said yes!
They chose A Different Pointe of View, in Phoenix Arizona for their wedding celebration. With the venue located at the top of North Mountain, the views were to die for! Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the dramatic panoramas of the Valley’s desert landscape, the city’s twinkling lights and Arizona’s colorful sunsets.
Angelic, being a creative entrepreneur, chose to wear a red gown! We were so excited to photograph a dress less traditional, as it really popped! Robert wore a gray suite with a red bow tie. (Bow ties are my favorite!) Angelic’s son pulled her nephew down the aisle in a wagon, decorated with florals. With his ear piece in place, and his sunglasses on, he carried a jewelry case with him, enclosed with the wedding rings. Roberts close friend officiated the ceremony – and did a great job as this was his very first wedding! With their closest family and friends together, the two tied the knot overlooking the gorgeous city lights.
After finishing sunset portraits, the guests lined the way in to the reception with sparklers! This was a fun way to have all the guests participate in a sparkler entrance! A lot of times, at the end of the reception there is only a few guests left, so this was a fun alternative!
During dinner, Angelic’s son recited a poem. Then Angelic and her daughter performed an Alicia Keys song for Robert. Everyone loved it! Angelic’s brother in law Brian, kept the party going all night with his great DJ skills! When it was time for the garter toss, Robert addressed the guests. He explained that love is important, and yes the wedding day is nice, but we all know what really matters is under the dress! Then he flipped her dress over her head! The crowd yelled out “Go Cowboys!” as Angelic showed off the Dallas Cowboy leggings she was wearing! It was then that we realized what big Dallas Cowboy fans her family is! Angelic and Robert – thank you for allowing us to capture your special day! The two of you have become such sweet friends to us and we just loved meeting your sweet family and fun friends!
